About Us
The Inspiring Journey Behind KidsCode2: From Passion to Purpose
KidsCode2 was founded on the belief that everyone, regardless of income, age, or gender, deserves access to opportunities in coding and technology. As a minority woman navigating the field of IT, I experienced firsthand the challenges of being undervalued and underrepresented. Concurrently, the realization of technology's transformative potential was spurred by seeing my son, who has ADHD/ADD and struggles with traditional education. The idea for KidsCode2, a place where kids and young adults, regardless of background or ability, could discover their passion for technology and unleash their full potential, was born out of his natural passion for technology, which became a beacon of hope.
KidsCode2 is an initiative that seeks to close the opportunity gap in underprivileged communities by offering empowering and easily accessible coding and technology education. Our mission is to create a vibrant and inclusive space where youth and young adults can thrive, learn, and grow. By offering engaging programs, fostering creativity, and building essential skills, we aspire to equip the next generation with the tools they need to succeed in an ever-evolving world. One line of code at a time, we are empowering girls to be bold and change the world together.
